Entry Requirements Applicant must possess the following for entry into CompTIA Linux + powered by LPI
  • Choose Your IT Certification
  • Get Familiar With Your IT Certification Exam
  • Begin Learning and Training for Your Exam
  • Register and Take Your Certification Exam
Applicants will also be required to complete the following: 
  1. Provide a CV and Personal Statement 
  2. Provide a copy of original qualification certificates and proof of ID, e.g. Passport 
  3. Applicants will also be invited to attend an online interview 

English Language Requirements 
If a learner is not from a majority English-speaking country then s/he must provide evidence of English language proficiency at a minimum of IELTS band 5.5. We also accept other standard English tests and qualifications, as long as they meet the minimum requirements of your course. If a learner doesn't meet the English language requirements then s/he can achieve the required level by successfully completing a pre-sessional English course before starting the main course. 

To complete the course, students should have access to: 
  1.  a laptop or Desktop PC with relevant online learning third-party Softwares, e.g. Zoom 
  2.  a webcam and headphones 
  3.  internet speeds with a minimum bandwidth of 600kbps (up/down), with a recommended speed of 1.5 Mbps (up/down)
What is CompTIA Linux+ Certification?
CompTIA Linux+ is an intermediate-level IT certification that provides IT professionals with knowledge of Linux. It validates the skills an early-career Linux systems administrator needs. It is ideal for those who want to step into a Linux administrator role without extensive experience or prior certification.

What is the pattern of the examination?
1. Number of Questions: Maximum of 90 questions per exam
2. Type of Questions: Multiple choice questions (single and multiple response), drag and drops and performance-based
3. Length of Test: 90 Minutes per exam
4. Passing Score: 220-1001: 675 (on a scale of 900) | 220-1002: 700 (on a scale of 900)
5. Recommended Experience: 9 to 12 months hands-on experience in the lab or field

What are the prerequisites?
There are no prerequisites, but we recommend having a good knowledge of computers and Windows-based systems

How long is my CompTIA Certification valid for?
The CompTIA Linux+ certification is valid indefinitely and does not expire.
What kind of job I can do?
There are a wide range of roles you can undertake which may require a CompTIA qualification. There are roles for all levels of experience and qualifications. Typical job roles include:
